Briarcliff Middle School Students Explore Creativity at Bethany Arts Center

Students from Briarcliff Middle School visited Bethany Arts Center to enhance their creativity and connect with community art. The event highlighted the center's role in fostering artistic expression among local youth.
Engaging with the Arts
On March 14, 2023, students from Briarcliff Middle School took a field trip to the Bethany Arts Center to explore their artistic talents and the importance of community arts. The visit aimed to foster creativity and encourage students to express themselves through various art forms.
Artistic Activities
During their visit, the students participated in hands-on workshops led by local artists, allowing them to experiment with different mediums. Activities included painting, sculpture, and digital arts, designed to inspire young minds. According to Principal Sarah Johnson, “Experiences like these are crucial for our students, as they allow them to explore their creative potential and engage with the community.”
Community Impact
The Bethany Arts Center, located in Ossining, serves as a hub for creativity and collaboration. With its spacious 3,000 square foot gallery and multiple studios, the center offers a variety of programs for residents of all ages. “We are thrilled to have Briarcliff students here,” remarked Executive Director Emily Clarke. “Promoting the arts in our community and connecting with the youth is vital for our mission.”
Future Collaborations
Following this visit, the Bethany Arts Center plans to host additional workshops for local schools to strengthen ties between students and the arts. “Our goal is to make the arts accessible and enjoyable for everyone in Westchester County,” Clarke added.
